Homeber Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

Homeber is an app that keeps contractors and homeowners on the same page during a home project: the plan, the payments, the changes, the photos and the messages, all in one shared record. This policy explains what information Homeber collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.

In this policy, "Homeber," "we" and "us" mean Reiser Enterprises LLC, the Georgia company that runs the Homeber app and our website, homeber.app. This policy covers both. "You" means anyone who uses the app, whether as a contractor, a member of a contractor's company, or a client.

The short version

  • We collect what it takes to run your jobs: your account details, the job record, and the files and messages you add.
  • People see a job only if they are on it. Verification documents are seen only by you, your company for company documents, and Homeber.
  • We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
  • Homeber does not handle your money. Payments go directly between contractor and client. We only keep the record of them.
  • You can delete your account in the app at any time.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details. Your name, email address, password, phone number if you add one, profile photo, and the language you use the app in. Your password is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read.
  • Company details (contractors). Company name, description, location, logo, portfolio photos, and contact details. License, insurance and identity documents you upload for verification.
  • Job information. Project names and addresses, client names and contact details, timelines and milestones, contract totals, payment stages and amounts, change orders, invoices, selections, notes, daily updates, documents, photos, and messages.
  • The activity log. For each job we record who did what and when, such as who approved a change order, asked for a payment or marked one received. It is part of the job's record.
  • Calendar. Events you create (title, time, place, notes, reminders, and the job they belong to) and the guests you invite, including the email addresses of guests who do not use Homeber.
  • Ratings. The ratings you give at the end of a job.
  • Reports and blocks. If you report something, we keep your report and a copy of what you reported, so we can review it even if it is later changed or deleted. If you block someone, we keep that list so we can stop their notifications to you.
  • Messages to us. Anything you send to support, and anything you send through the feedback form on our website: your message, and your name and email address if you give them.

Information about clients entered by a contractor

A contractor can add a client's name, email address, phone number and project address before that client has an account, and send them an invite. If you are a contractor, only add people you are working with and have a reason to contact. If you are a client and did not expect an invite, you can ignore it or write to us. The same applies to people invited to a calendar event by email: only invite people you have a reason to contact, and anyone who gets an invite they did not expect can ignore it.

Information collected automatically

  • Device information for notifications. If you allow notifications, your phone gives us a push token so we can send them. We store it with your account and delete it when it stops working or you delete your account.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting providers keep short-term logs of requests to our servers and website, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Our website. homeber.app uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. When you send the feedback form, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to 30 days, only to limit spam.

What we do not collect

  • We do not use analytics or advertising tools, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We do not access your location. Photos you take or pick from your photo library in Homeber are resized on your phone before upload, and the location and camera details stored inside the original photo are removed. Files you choose from the Files app are uploaded as they are.
  • We do not collect card or bank account numbers. Homeber records that a payment was sent and how, not the payment itself.

Processing that stays on your phone

Reading the total off an uploaded invoice, detecting a message's language, and translating messages and updates all happen on your device using Apple's built-in tools. That text is not sent to us or to a third party for those features.

How we use information

  • To run the app: show each person their jobs, keep the shared record, store files, and send the messages, updates and requests you create.
  • To send notifications and emails about your jobs, such as a payment request waiting for you or a change order to approve. You can turn these off in Notifications settings, except for messages needed to sign in or keep your account secure.
  • To send invites when a contractor adds a client or a company adds a team member.
  • To send calendar invitations, changes, cancellations and reminders to the guests on an event.
  • To publish ratings once both sides have rated or the rating window has closed, and to show you your own average.
  • To review verification documents and show whether a check has passed.
  • To keep Homeber safe: review reports, stop notifications from people you blocked, screen text for slurs and severe abuse before it is saved, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and respond to legal requests. The person you report or block is not told it was you.
  • To answer you when you contact us.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.

Who can see what

Information Who can see it
A job and everything in itPeople on that job: the client, and the contractor's owners and the team member running it. A company owner can hide the contract price from team members.
Your company profile (name, description, location, logo, portfolio, and the company's phone, email and website)Anyone signed in to Homeber. Today the app shows it to your clients and the people in your company.
Your personal profile (name, photo, phone, language)People who share a job or a company with you.
The activity log of a jobPeople on that job. Entries with amounts follow the same rule as the contract price.
A calendar eventThe person who made it and the guests on it.
Your own verification documentsOnly you and Homeber.
A company's verification documentsPeople in that company, and Homeber.
RatingsYour own average is shown to you. Homeber does not currently show anyone else's ratings. A published rating stays part of the record of the job it was given on.
Your reports and blocksOnly you and Homeber.

When you delete something you added, such as a photo or document, it is removed from the job. Invoices are kept, because both sides rely on them as the record of the price.

Anyone on a finished job can download a PDF of its record: the amounts they are allowed to see, change orders, payments, selections, milestones, the activity log, updates, notes, the names of files, and messages. A downloaded copy belongs to the person who downloaded it and is outside Homeber's control, so deleting your account does not remove it.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run Homeber. They process information only to provide their service to us, and are required to protect it at least as well as this policy does.

  • Supabase hosts our database, file storage and sign-in.
  • Resend sends our emails.
  • Cloudflare hosts our website.
  • Apple delivers push notifications and distributes the app through the App Store.

We may also share information:

  • With the people you work with, as described above, because that is what the app is for.
  • If the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the safety of a person or the rights of Homeber or its users.
  • With a buyer or successor if Homeber is sold or merged. This policy would continue to apply to your information.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open.

When you delete your account, we delete your sign-in, clear your name, phone number and photo, remove your notification devices and your verification documents, and remove you from any company. If you were the last person in a company, that company's verification documents are deleted too.

The jobs you were part of stay in place, because they are also the other side's record of the work and the money. Your name is removed from them. Messages and files you added to those jobs remain part of that record.

Messages sent through the feedback form on our website are kept as long as we need them to answer you and improve Homeber, and no longer than two years.

Deleted information can remain in encrypted backups for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, before it is overwritten. We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

Your choices and rights

  • See and correct. Most of your information is visible and editable in the app.
  • Delete. Go to Settings, then Advanced, then Delete account. You can also email us.
  • Notifications. Turn push and email notifications on or off in Settings, or turn off notifications for Homeber in your phone's settings.
  • Camera and photos. Homeber asks before using either, and you can change that in your phone's settings at any time.
  • Ask us. Email support@homeber.app to ask for a copy of your information, to correct something you cannot change yourself, or to have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them.

We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because we do not track you across other services.

Security

Information travels to and from the app encrypted. Access is controlled in the database itself, so each person can read only the jobs they are on. Files are stored privately and shared through links that expire. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your email account secure, since that is how you reset your password.

Children

Homeber is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Where information is stored

Homeber is run from the United States and is meant for jobs in the United States. Our database and files are stored in the eastern United States (Northern Virginia). Our other service providers process information in the United States, and our website is delivered through Cloudflare's network, which has servers around the world.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
